Ok, it seems like more and more people want to digital scrapbook but they haven’t got the money to invest ina photo editing software program.
Well, I’ve done some browsing and here’s a link to where you just might find that free downloadable program to help you with all your needs.
These programs are all for Windows-but have a look you’ll find lots for Mac and Vista too-sorry I’m partial to Windows.

I was stricken by the fabulous cards by Kandis Smith in the latest PaperCrafts Stamp It magazine (page 55 I think?)
Though her cards were just a TAD more elaborate than mine, I loved the chocolate brown on kraft thing she had going and made these little note cards (1/4 sheet of 81/2 by 11, folded in half) for part of the teacher gifts this year. I always feel lame if I don’t include something hand made
These were super quick, and I quite like the simplicity of them. Hope you enjoy them too
So easy and practical! Make a great little quick
gift!

Hi everyone! I am so sorry for uploading so late at night. It has been crazy here the past few days with tomorrow being the last day of school. I am still working on teacher’s gifts as well. Nothing like the last minute! LOL
Above is a fun mini that I picked up at Michael’s this week. It is an accordian album in a box. I think I paid $5.99 for it. Comes all white for easy decorating. I used a paper kit from Tim Coffey with K&Company 12 x 12 paper. So everything coordinatied nicely. As far as embellies are concerned, I couldn’t go to bumpy since it had to fit back in the box so I used P.Real Life word stickers, Tim Coffey K&CO. apoxy stickers, Karen Foster Halloween Stickers, K& Co. chipboard and Leaving Prints (not in business anymore) word stickers. As soon as I saw this mini, I knew it was for my favorite Halloween pictures from 2006. It took about 3 hours to this mini together and that includes everything from picking out the pictures, paper, embellies, cutting and pasting. Thanks again for looking. I hope you enjoy this mini. See you next week!

Wow where does the week go? I have been trying to put everything away in my classroom, another school year is coming to a close. Yeah I so need a vacation! Well my altered item this week is:

Ok you have to love the feet in the picture. I wanted you to see how large the arrows were. This one a class I was teaching at a scrapbooking retreat weekend. The arrows are from christmas tree shop for a buck that’s right I bought them all! Have class will travel.
ALrightly then, these arrows are wood and I took two pieces of paper and covered it. Then I took alpha stickers and glossy accented them, Added some embellishments (butterfly from michaels) and finished it off with some ribbon. The melanie one is just missy a skull and it will be done. So as youcan see their is more than one way to alter an arrow. Thinking outside the box ladies!
Enjoy the week,
Kelli

Today I thought I would toot my own horn. Gotta say I’ve really never done this before but today is special, not because it’s my birthday, not because I’m celebrating anything, just because I’ve accomplished something. I have to say that it really does go to show that if you try hard enough you can accomplish anything, and well, last night I actually figured out how to upload to 4share and I posted a Quick Page for digital scrapbooking. What’s a quick page, well it’s simply a page you download, place a picture on, in this case fit your photo inside the frame, and voila you have a finished digital scrapbook page for your album.
Have a look, if you download it leave a comment, I’d love to see a picture of yours in it.
Thanks and happy scrapping.
Here’s the page and below is a download link:

Do you have a Cricut? I do and I have to say that I LOVE mine. I really do need to use it more than I do. They have so many cartridges now that you can find almost anything to suit your need.
Recently I was surfing around online when I came across a new Cricut product call The Cricut Jukebox. No, it doesn’t play music lol.
The Cricut Jukebox is a product that will somehow hook up to your Cricut machine (exactly how it does this I am unclear about) and will allow you to hook up UP TO 6 Cricut Cartridges at one time. You can also stack up to two Jukebox’s at once so that you can use a total of 12 cartridges. From what I understood, you will be able to cut images from more than one cartridge at a time without having to remove the cartridge and inserting a new one.
Personally, I am not sure how I feel about this product. I think it is a VERY cool idea, but I also don’t think this is something that I would use. I am sure there is a market for it though. I don’t mind switching out my cartridges and like I said, I don’t use the machine enough (that will change!) to warrant buying the Jukebox.
From what I have found the Jukebox will retail for around $80. There are several online retailers already. I did a Google search for Cricut Jukebox and was rewarded with several.

Okay, obviously I love using my crayons from Stampin Up and my oil pastels. But what about markers? I have several Stampin Up markers and love them, but they don’t blend together so well. I’ve heard so much about Copic markers and wanted to know more about them, so I’ve been reading and trying to figure out what the difference is between my SU markers and the Copic markers. So what I found is that the Copic markers are alcohol based and the SU markers are water based. The Copic markers have a blender pen that you use to brake down the ink in the marker and blend the colors together. They are acid free as soon as the alcohol dries. Also, the Copic’s come in a big variety of colors. So you can get different shades of one color making it easy to fade a color out. Another great feature with the Copic’s, is that they have a square shape, so they don’t roll around on the table and are easy to grip.

I think I’m going to make an investment in these markers. They’re kind of pricy, but if you get the sketch markers you can refill them, so in the long run it might not be more expensive than buying other markers. Here is a place that has them on sale. It’s the cheapest place I’ve found to buy them.

I SO love doodling! This week I got such a cool package in the mail and it included a white Sharpie paint pen.

Now I love(d) my white Signo Uniball gel pen for my doodling on darker paper, but I must say, this Sharpie rocks WAY better! My gel pen constantly would stop working mid doodle. Very frustrating. This Sharpie marker flows perfectly all the time.
It was kinda hard to find….I got mine on ebay.
What do YOU use to doodle with?
Have you tried the Sharpie?
Are you a gel pen girl?
Have a Doodly Wednesday

Good Morning Scrapping Gals! This week was a long one. My oldest was very ill all week and didn’t go to school until yesterday and that was even tough for her. I had her at the emergency room during the week and thankfully all tests came back negative except for her being dehydrated. She is still week but with the heat wave we are having here in NJ, the school closed early yesterday and again today so at least she can get alittle bit of rest in the afternoon. Unfortunately with all that was going on this week, I didn’t complete my mini but I wanted to show you what I started just to give you some ideas on how you can make pockets out of the pages right in your little book.
The cover measures 51/4 x 51/4 where the pages measure 5 x 5. I will be using this mini as a journal over the summer to tell about what we did and keep some stuff along the way. Stampin Up sells a great spiral punch so you can punch the holes for the spiral binding instead of cutting out each hole. As you can see on the cover, I also used the punch just for decoration with a pp. I actually removed the binding, punched the holes and then put the binding back on. It was so quick and easy to do. On some pages I put sticker tabs for easy flipping. I learned how to make a pocket at SU Spring Fling last year. So easy!!! All you have to do is fold one page or more depending on how many of these pockets you want, half way up or down before you put the spiral binding back on. Add alittle adhesive and decorate. It is a great way to save movie tickets, or something small that you would like to remember. The next pocket is a diagonal one. I glued down two pages together near the binding edge and bottom edge only. I took the top right corner and folded it partially down and placed a flower sticker to hold it in place. You can put a journaling card in there, a picture, tickets… wahtever you like. The next technique I did, was to punch 3 holes on the right page, then on the following right page I added 3 circle stickers so the pages both look decorated and it also adds alittle dimension. I hope you may have learned something new. I would love to finish this book sometime this week before school ends so I am ready for summer vacation. You can click on each picture to see a larger view. TFL Have a great week!

Well I missed last week, I am so sorry, you must all know when life getting in the way everything goes out the window. I’ve been in a self pity party and gave myself a week to work it out. So I am back…. To start out if you have a
christmas tree shop by you it is the most wonderful store to find things to alter. They have tons of wooden letters/words to alter. I see holiday/birthday presents in my friends and families future. To alter I use mostly
Zipdry glue .

So today’s thought is to just relax. Any and all problems will all work itself out, we just need to relax and let it go. Enjoy the day and stay cool. It is hot hot hot on the east coast today. I am going to stay in the cool today.
